She also especially enjoys working with teens with IEP's who may have issues with self-esteem and confidence, realizing their potential, setting goals and redefining their future.

Sarah has had a unique personal experience, she received special education services as a student for her own learning disabilities throughout elementary, middle and high school. In 11th grade, she shared with her school counselor she wanted to be a social worker, to which her counselor replied she could not become a social worker as she was not earning a standard diploma, instead Sarah was earning a "special diploma". It was following this conversation that Sarah ended up being her own advocate. She went on to earn her standard high school diploma and continued her education until she earned an Advanced Standing Masters Degree in Clinical Social  Work and later on her LCSW.

Supervision Philosophy

As a clinical supervisor, I believe the essential components to successful supervision include a sense of safety and support in which the supervisee can continue to learn with an emphasis on learning and expand on their own clinical skills and insights as a therapist.

In my philosophy, the ultimate goal of supervision is to enable supervisees to enrich the services they offer to clients, and to safeguard and enhance their own well-being while doing it.

In terms of subject matter, the primary focus of the supervision process is the supervisee and the therapeutic process unfolding between them and their clients.

Empower them...
